The stem of our lily bears five full pseudo-whorls of leaves and a couple more that are less full. The fuller whorls contain eight leaves. This is not the largest lily: the number of full whorls can be up to 10, with up to 15 leaves in the largest whorls. The maximum height for this species is 2 m!
