The glaucous foliage of red spruce. This tree has been apparently introduced to the forest, though never played any significant role here. Indeed red spruce as well as many other spruces (except black spruce) is not native in eastern Massachusetts. Differently from Norway spruce, it remains a rather rare tree in Myles Standish.
